Recycle Center
To the east of the Grange on Ursum Way is the town garage. The recycle dumpster and the electronics shed are located next the the garage. The recycle dumpster accepts cans, metal, cardboard, paper, glass and plastics #1,2,3 and 5. Please note that we do not accept class 4, 6 or 7 plastics. Ignore the labeling over the openings on the recycle dumpster, as all acceptable recycleables go into the dumpster together. Tin cans, glass and plastic food containers should be rinsed before depositing. Cardboard and boxes should be flattened.

We also accept electronics for recycling. The shed on site is for acceptable electronics including: computers (desktops & laptops), printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, televisions (CRT, LCD, LED, plasma), cell phones, IT & networking equipment, medical & lab equipment, communications equipment, phones, servers, monitors (CRT, LCD, LED), MP3 players, PDA’s, tablets, ink and toner cartridges, batteries, and pretty much anything else with a circuit board or cord!

Trash Disposal
The Town of Halcott offers a weekly drop-off service for trash disposal. The hours of this mini transfer station are 10:00 AM to 12 noon every Sunday. Halcott residents can deposit bags of household waste at $2.00 per bag for kitchen garbage bags (30 gallons and under) and $6 per bag for white contractor bags (45-60 gallons). Please note that contractor bags should be white or clear and not black. Bagged styrofoam is accepted free of charge.
