Beware of Suburban Propane overcharge

Homeowners in the Halcott Center buying group are being mistakenly over-charged. 
Suburban assures me that they are rerating outstanding bills for tank fills since late January, but they are also leaving it to the customers to make sure they are receiving the group rate of $1.6590 per gallon. The tank fill I just received was billed at nearly double that!

Suburban says the mistake occurred because the town consumed over the initially allocated 10,000 gallons. That’s not our problem, just an internal Suburban issue. In fact we are likely use more than 15,000 gallons before spring. How’s that for buying power? We will put it to work negotiating next year’s rate!
