Halcott Community Garden 2020 Season
Greeting Gardeners & friends of the Community Garden!
It is with a combination of sadness and hope that I share the following with regards to the upcoming season for the Halcott Community Garden. Given the current “on pause” status of NY state in response to the Covid 19 outbreak, the following changes must be made to the rules and regulations of the garden for this season.

From the Fleischmanns Fire Chief
Todd Wickham, the Fleischmanns Fire Chief came to our meeting last night and asked that we please tell everyone that:
The Fire Department is concerned about the high contagiousness of the new Coronavirus. Their small department could be significantly impacted if firefighters are exposed or infected while on a call. They ask that any infected community members please let them know so that the firemen can protect themselves if they possibly have to help that person in an emergency situation. They are a small team of dedicated volunteers who protect us faithfully. We want to protect them as well!
