NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
The Town of Halcott Planning Board will conduct 2 public hearings on Wednesday August 5, 2020 beginning at 6:00PM at the Town Grange, 264 Route 3, Halcott Center, NY.

The purpose of the first hearing is to hear comments on the Site Plan Review application of Samantha Bouton, 110 Bouton Road, Halcott Center, NY, for the construction of a single family home. Tax Map ID #142-2-40.21. All persons wishing to speak upon this matter shall be heard at this time.

At the close of the first public hearing there will be another hearing to hear comments on the Site Plan Review application of Peter Platis, 1613 County Route 3, Halcott Center, NY, for the replacement of an existing house with a new single family home. Tax Map ID #142-1-16. All persons wishing to speak on this matter shall be heard at this time.

A regular Planning Board meeting will follow the public hearings.

Meeting of January 8, 2020

Present: Chairman Ted Johnson, Andrew Kelder, Adina Johnson, Sec. Nancy Reynolds
Absent: Mark Vogler
Chairman T. Johnson opened the meeting with the pledge to the flag at 6:00PM.

Reorganization:
Motion to reappoint Ted Johnson as Chairman was made by N. Reynolds, seconded by
A. Johnson, unanimously approved. Motion to reappoint Adina Johnson as Vice Chairman
was made by A Kelder, seconded by N. Reynolds, unanimously approved. Motion to
reappoint Nancy Reynolds as Secretary was made by A. Kelder, and seconded by T. Johnson,
unanimously approved.

Motion to accept the minutes of the 10/2/2019 meeting was made by A. Kelder, seconded by
T. Johnson, unanimously approved.

Our town’s cooperation regarding propane purchases is working beautifully. Marc Neves, a Halcott propane user, told us a competitor to Suburban quoted propane for him at $1.635.  Pressed to compete, Suburban then revised its proposed price from continuing the existing $1.799 to match the competing price instead.

$1.635 per gallon is now the rate that Suburban should be extending to all Halcott Suburban customers. Pre-buy contracts offering higher prices should be considered carefully in relation to our newly cut price.  You don’t have to sign pre-buy deals.  You can just inform Suburban you are going with the buying group’s $1.635 price per gallon.

Suburban has extended their “Circle of Friends” offer to reward existing customers with 35 free gallons when they refer new residential propane customers.
