Due to spotty cellphone service in many places in Halcott, and that many homes are now being used as Air B & Bs for non-residents, or the possibility of no power during a weather emergency for land line use, she asked that the Town look into an emergency siren notification system, evacuation signs, and routes with places to go to shelter. Propane Price Wars – Update from Alan Adelson

Both Paraco and Suburban have reduced their price for the new contract to $1.65 per gallon. We have heard from an additional Suburban customer who, like our own household, was left “sweating bullets” last winter when Suburban did not deliver gas for several weeks after we requested the refill.

Ned Howard at Paraco advises folks who want to change over from Suburban to coordinate with him so he’ll be ready for a quick installation. By doing so you can burn the Suburban gas down to 10% of your tank to avoid losing much because of Suburban’s restocking fee. His phone number is 845-745-2159.

If you want to change over, please contact me as well by email: alanadelson@gmail.com, as I will need to update our participants list.
