The Town of Halcott is looking to hire a full-time Highway Superintendent. This hands-on position requires applicants to be physically able to perform all work. The Highway Superintendent maintains Town roads and coordinates with Greene County on the maintenance of County roads within the Town. In winter, the Superintendent must inspect roads daily to ensure they are safe before school buses and morning commuters begin traveling. In summer, the Superintendent manages the topping schedule, tracks labor hours, equipment use, and materials, and is also responsible for maintaining highway vehicles.

1. Mechanical ability
2. Management experience
3. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required
4. Computer knowledgeable
