Highway Superintendent’s Report: The Town desperately needs to purchase a replacement for the Oshkosh, wheels fall off, both the transmission and clutch are failing as is the cylinder for the plow wing as well. Councilman Alan Reynolds had gotten a quote on a new Freightliner truck, the cost of which would be $325,000.000. Highway Superintendent Bouton does have a lead on a used International AWD, with a plow and equipment on it. The asking price is $18-20,000.00. Superintendent Bouton would like to look at it, while it may not be what the highway department ultimately needs, perhaps it could serve as a fill-in until a suitable truck is found. In case of an emergency, the C-plow could be hooked up to the loader for snow removal. Greene County ordered a new truck in 2024 and has still not received it.
